Kogi Government vows justice for slain photojournalist Ayo Aiyepeku
The Kogi State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring justice for the late photojournalist, Mr. Ayo Aiyepeku, who was recently murdered under tragic circumstances.
In a statement issued by the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Fanwo, in Lokoja, the government vowed to leave no stone unturned in uncovering the truth behind the killing.
Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has directed security agencies to launch a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding Aiyepeku’s death, emphasizing that justice must be served.
“Justice may not bring the dead back to life, but it will console the family of the deceased that their son did not die in vain,” the statement read.
Fanwo noted that the safety and security of the people remain a top priority of the present administration, adding that those responsible for the heinous act must be brought to book.
He also confirmed that investigations are ongoing, not just into the murder itself, but also into the subsequent mysterious death of the prime suspect in the case.
The government called on the public to remain vigilant and support the investigation by providing credible information that could aid law enforcement agencies.
