In a surprising turn of events, Manchester City captain Kyle Walker has joined Italian giants AC Milan on loan until the end of the season.
The 34-year-old defender, who has been a vital part of Manchester City’s dominance in English football, underwent his medical examination with the Rossoneri on Thursday.
Walker, a six-time Premier League champion and one of England’s most experienced players, brings a wealth of experience to Milan as they aim to strengthen their squad for the remainder of the Serie A campaign.
The loan agreement includes an option for Milan to sign the England international permanently at the end of the season. Walker, now set to wear the number 32 shirt, could feature as early as Sunday when AC Milan face Parma in their next league fixture.
The move marks a significant step in Walker’s illustrious career, as he takes on a new challenge in Italy’s top flight.
