Liverpool edges Everton to move closer to Premier League glory

Liverpool claimed a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Everton, securing city bragging rights and moving closer to clinching the Premier League title.
Arne Slot’s side now requires just 13 points from a possible 24 to secure their 20th top-flight championship, equalling a record.
Diogo Jota’s crucial goal on Wednesday night sealed the win, further strengthening Liverpool’s dominance this season.
The Reds have been outstanding both in attack and defence, scoring a league-high 70 goals while maintaining 13 clean sheets, joint-most in the competition.
For Everton, the loss ended their nine-game unbeaten streak and extended manager David Moyes’ frustrating record at Anfield. He has now gone 22 matches without a win at the stadium, including 20 in the Premier League.
