NUJ FCT Council Congratulates Princess Edna Azura on Her Inauguration as New NCWS President
The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), FCT Council, has congratulated Princess Edna Azura on her inauguration as the 16th National President of the National Council of Women Societies (NCWS), Nigeria.
In a statement signed by the council’s secretary, Jide Oyekunle, the NUJ expressed confidence in Princess Azura’s ability to lead the NCWS to greater heights during a critical period in Nigeria’s political and socio-economic landscape.
The council lauded her dedication to championing gender inclusion in governance, combating gender-based violence, and addressing harmful traditional practices, describing these efforts as crucial to building a progressive society.
“We trust that your tenure will be marked by innovation, unity, and impactful advocacy that uplifts and empowers Nigerian women,” the statement read.
The NUJ FCT Council wished Princess Azura a successful and fulfilling tenure as she steers the affairs of the NCWS, reiterating its support for her leadership.
