Ondo Governor gifts SUVs to traditional rulers
Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has presented brand new Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs) to traditional rulers across the state.
The governor said the gesture was part of his government’s effort to support royal fathers for their roles in maintaining peace and promoting development in their communities.
Speaking during the presentation in Akure, Aiyedatiwa praised the monarchs for their continued cooperation with the state government and their contributions to grassroots security and progress.
He explained that the SUVs were given to make the work of the traditional rulers easier and to help them move around their domains more comfortably.
The governor also promised to continue improving the welfare of royal fathers and ensure that all parts of the state benefit from government projects.
In response, the Ondo State Council of Obas thanked the governor for the kind gesture, describing it as a sign of respect and recognition for traditional institutions in the state.
