How to Stay Safe

Authorities have issued the following safety guidelines to mitigate the impact of the heatwave:

  1. Stay Cool: Use fans, air conditioners, or other cooling devices to maintain comfortable indoor temperatures.
  2. Dress Light: Wear loose, breathable clothing to allow air circulation.
  3. Hydrate Regularly: Drink plenty of water throughout the day to prevent dehydration.
  4. Limit Sun Exposure: Reduce outdoor activities, particularly in direct sunlight.
  5. Avoid Peak Heat Hours: Stay indoors between 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM, when temperatures are highest.
  6. Use Protective Gear: Wear wide-brimmed hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen to shield yourself from sun exposure.
