Three APC youth leaders die in tragic crash en route to APC congress
Three youth leaders of the All Progressives Congress from Ogbadibo Local Government Area in Benue State lost their lives in a fatal motor accident while travelling to Lafia, Nasarawa State, to attend the party’s North-Central Zonal Congress.
The deceased have been identified as Hon. Anawo Benjamin of Orokam Ward 3, Hon. Ogbe Enemari of Ai-oono Ward 3, and Hon. Abraham Enenche of Olachagbaha Ward. They died at the scene, while several other members of the delegation sustained injuries and are receiving medical attention.
The accident occurred along the Makurdi–Lafia road on Wednesday, abruptly ending the lives of these committed young party leaders on official duty.
Reacting, 2023 APC Benue South Senatorial candidate, Comrade Daniel Onjeh, described the loss as heartbreaking. He praised the deceased for their dedication to grassroots politics and extended condolences to their families and the APC community in Ogbadibo and across Benue State. Onjeh also prayed for the recovery of the injured and urged party members to remain united during the difficult period.
Similarly, Senate Minority Leader and Benue South Senator, Comrade Abba Moro, called the incident traumatic, noting the heavy loss for a single local government area. He offered prayers for the repose of the deceased and comfort for their families, while wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
