Hisbah arrests 21 at Kano hotel over alleged immoral activities
The Kano State Hisbah Board has arrested 21 individuals at a hotel in Kureken Sani, Kumbotso Local Government Area, over suspected immoral conduct.
Deputy Commander-General, Dr. Mujahid Aminuddeen, told Daily Trust that 11 women—some reportedly aged between 17 and 25—and 10 men, mostly under 30, were taken into custody. The suspects were allegedly organising a gathering that violated Hisbah regulations.
The hotel manager was also arrested in connection with the incident. Aminuddeen confirmed that the suspects would face prosecution in court.
He urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities, especially those involving minors, to the relevant authorities.
The arrest follows a recent Hisbah operation in which over 600 youths were apprehended for various indecent acts during the Sallah festivities.
