Tinubu attends coronation of Rashidi Ladoja as 44th Olubadan of Ibadan
President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Ibadan for the installation of former Oyo State governor, Rashidi Ladoja, as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
The President’s convoy touched down around 2:25 p.m. on Friday, accompanied by Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji, and Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke. They were received by Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde.
Tinubu had departed Abuja earlier in the day, leaving the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at about 12:45 p.m., en route to Oyo State capital for the coronation ceremony.
The event, holding at the historic Mapo Hall, will see the President lead other dignitaries in honouring Ladoja, who ascended the throne following the passing of the 43rd Olubadan, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, on July 7, 2025.
