Tinubu names Gen. W. Shaibu as new Chief of Army Staff
President Bola Tinubu has approved a major reshuffle in the leadership of Nigeria’s Armed Forces as part of his administration’s efforts to strengthen the country’s security structure.
As part of the changes, General W. Shaibu has been appointed as the new Chief of Army Staff, while General Olufemi Oluyede has been named the new Chief of Defence Staff, replacing General Christopher Musa.
The development is seen as a strategic move by the Federal Government to enhance synergy among the military services and improve overall national security operations.
