Tinubu receives Gabon’s President Nguema at State House
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Monday received the Gabonese President, Brice Oligui Nguema, at the State House in Abuja for a high-level diplomatic meeting aimed at boosting relations between both countries.
The closed-door session focused on reinforcing economic cooperation and South-South collaboration. Speaking to journalists after the meeting, President Nguema expressed optimism about Gabon’s current state of affairs and emphasised the importance of deepening economic partnerships with Nigeria.
He urged Nigerian businesses to explore the vast investment opportunities in Gabon’s oil and mineral sectors, describing his country as rich in natural resources and open for business. “Things are going very well in Gabon right now, and we believe it will be good for Nigerian companies to come to Gabon and invest more in the oil and mineral industries,” he said.
This latest diplomatic engagement signals growing efforts to foster regional partnerships for sustainable development and stability in Central Africa.

Brice Oligui Nguema, who officially assumed office earlier this year, continues to court regional alliances in line with his administration’s strategic economic vision.
