Tinubu writes Senate, requests confirmation of Service Chiefs
President Bola Tinubu has written to the Senate, requesting the screening and confirmation of the newly appointed service chiefs.
The President’s letter was read on Tuesday by the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, during plenary.
According to the correspondence, the nominees include General Olufemi Oluyede as Chief of Defence Staff, Major-General Waheedi Shaibu as Chief of Army Staff, Rear Admiral Idi Abbas as Chief of Naval Staff, Air Vice Marshal Kennedy Aneke as Chief of Air Staff, and Major-General Emmanuel Undiendeye as Chief of Defence Intelligence.
Akpabio thereafter referred it to the committee of the whole for screening and confirmation of the nominees, next week.
