Transcorp Hilton Abuja appoints global hospitality veteran, Martin Zarybnicky, as new GM

Martin Zarybnicky has officially assumed the position of General Manager at Transcorp Hilton Abuja, effective August 1st, 2025.
With over three decades of global experience in hospitality, Martin steps into the role after holding leadership positions in renowned hotel brands across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia-Pacific, including previous stints in Thailand, Egypt, and Russia.
His appointment marks a return to the Hilton brand, where he formerly served as General Manager at Hilton Sharm Waterfalls Resort.
Speaking on the development, Mrs. Uzo Oshogwe, Managing Director and CEO of Transcorp Hotels Plc, expressed delight at Martin’s arrival.

Martin is widely recognised for driving operational excellence, increasing guest satisfaction, leading major renovations, and positioning hotels for long-term business success.
His efforts have earned him several industry awards across the Middle East, Asia, and Europe.
Andreas Lackner, Vice President of Operations for Sub-Saharan Africa and the Indian Ocean at Hilton, also praised Martin’s appointment.
“Martin brings a wealth of global hospitality experience and a strong history of impactful leadership to his new role,” Lackner said.

As General Manager, Martin will be responsible for overseeing the entire hotel operation.
He is expected to focus on strategic growth, operational efficiency, and delivering an elevated guest experience in line with Hilton’s global standards.

Transcorp Hilton Abuja, located in the capital’s commercial hub, is a 668-room iconic hotel that has been welcoming guests since 1987.
It remains one of the largest hotels in sub-Saharan Africa and is owned by Transcorp Hotels Plc, operating under the Hilton Hotels & Resorts brand.
