Trump announces White House UFC event to mark 80th birthday
US President Donald Trump has confirmed that a live Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) event will take place at the White House on June 14, 2026, the same day as his 80th birthday.
The announcement was made during his address in Norfolk, Virginia. Although the UFC has not yet officially confirmed the date, the event is expected to be held on the South Lawn of the White House as part of celebrations marking the 250th anniversary of American Independence.
According to UFC CEO Dana White, the spectacle will include official weigh-ins at the Lincoln Memorial, with fighters making their walk to the Octagon from the Oval Office. White also mentioned that restoring the White House lawn after the event could cost around $700,000.
