Warri Wolves clinch first away win as Delta Sports boss hails Oborevwori’s support

Warri Wolves secured their first away victory of the Nigeria Premier Football League season on Sunday after defeating Katsina United 1-0 at the Mohammadu Dikko Stadium.
The breakthrough came in the 76th minute when forward Igbunu Evwierhurhoma struck the decisive goal to hand the newly promoted side all three points in a tightly contested game.
Reacting to the victory, Chairman of the Delta State Sports Commission, Hon. Onoriode Oborevwori, praised the team and coaching staff for their determination and linked the success to the steadfast support of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, whose administration continues to prioritize sports development in the state.
The win is a significant step for the Seasiders, who only recently regained their NPFL status.
They will next welcome Enugu Rangers on August 31 at the Southern Delta University Stadium, Ozoro, where a large home crowd is expected to rally behind the team.
