He captained the Green Eagles (now Super Eagles) to Nigeria’s first-ever Africa Cup of Nations title in 1980 after defeating Algeria 3–0 in the final.
3. A legend of Enugu Rangers
Chukwu played as a defender for Enugu Rangers from 1972 to 1981, spending his entire senior club career with the team and building a lasting legacy.
4. Earned 54 caps for Nigeria
He represented the national team between 1974 and 1981, appearing in 54 matches and scoring five goals during his international career.
5. Coached in Nigeria and abroad
