2Baba breaks silence on infidelity (Video)
Nigerian music icon, Innocent Idibia, widely recognised as 2Baba, has confirmed that he and his wife, Annie Macaulay, have separated and are in the process of filing for divorce.
The announcement was made via 2Baba’s Instagram page on Sunday, where he addressed his fans directly.
He wrote, “Hello to my beautiful people of all federations. Well, this thing I have to say is short but also long… Annie Macaulay and I have been separated for a while now and have currently filed for divorce.
“I will issue a press release soon to share my side of the story. Not because anyone has the right to know about my personal life, but because I value my people and want them to understand my innocence or offence. Stay blessed, my people. I love you all.”
Speculations surrounding their marriage had been rife, particularly after Annie publicly accused 2Baba of infidelity. This announcement has now brought an end to months of rumours and conjecture about the state of their relationship.
Fans await further details as 2Baba promises to shed more light on the situation in due course.
