Tinubu condoles with victims’ families, FIRS, UBA, United Capital over Afriland Towers fire

President Bola Tinubu has extended his condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the fire incident at Afriland Towers on Broad Street, Lagos Island, on Tuesday.

He also commiserated with the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc, and United Capital over the tragedy.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President sympathized with Afriland Properties Limited, the affected organizations, and families mourning their loved ones. He also prayed for the quick recovery of those receiving treatment.

Tinubu praised the swift intervention of emergency responders, including the Federal Fire Service, medical personnel, first aiders, and members of the public, noting their sense of responsibility during the evacuation.

The President called for more vigilance, safety training, and preparedness to prevent similar disasters in the future, while praying for the repose of the departed souls.
