Tinubu presides over FEC meeting, swears in Commissioners and Permanent Secretaries
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Monday presided over the 22nd meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) at the State House Council Chambers, where he swore in 21 newly appointed Federal Commissioners and eight Permanent Secretaries.
The president administered the oath of office to the following Federal Commissioners, who will serve in the Revenue Allocation and Fiscal Commission and the National Population Commission:
1. Linda Oti (Abia)
2. Akpan Effiong (Akwa Ibom)
3. Enefe Ekene (Anambra)
4. Prof. Steve Ugba (Benue)
5. Chief Eyonsa (Cross River)
6. Aruviere Egharhevwe (Delta)
7. Nduka Awuregu (Ebonyi)
8. Victor Eboigbe (Edo)
9. Wumi Ogunlola (Ekiti)
10. Ozo Obodougo (Enugu)
11. Kabir Mashi (Katsina)
12. Adamu Fanda (Kano)
13. Dr Kunle Wright (Lagos)
14. Aliyu Abdulkadir (Nasarawa)
15. Bako Shetima (Niger)
16. Samuel Durojaye (Ogun)
17. Nathaniel Adejutelegan (Ondo)
18. Saad Ibrahim (Plateau)
19. Modu-Aji Juluri (Yobe)
20. Bello Garba (Zamfara)
21. Mohammed Usman (Gombe)
President Tinubu also swore in eight newly appointed Permanent Secretaries to fill vacancies in the Federal Civil Service. The appointees are:
1. Onwusoro Ihemelandu (Abia)
2. Ndiomu Philip (Bayelsa)
3. Anuma Nlia (Ebonyi)
4. Ogbodo Nnam (Enugu)
5. Kalba Usman (Gombe)
6. Usman Aminu (Kebbi)
7. Oyekunle Nwakuso (Rivers)
8. Nadungu Gagare (Kaduna)
During the meeting, the president also signed the Federal University of Environment and Technology, Tai (Ogoniland) Establishment Bill into law. The institution aims to advance environmental research and technological development in Nigeria.
The FEC meeting continues with ministers and senior government officials deliberating on key national policies and programmes.
