Lagos begins plan to reconstruct Police stations damaged during EndSARS
The Lagos State Government has announced plans to rebuild police stations that were destroyed during the EndSARS protests.
The state said the reconstruction will help restore security operations in affected communities. Many of the stations were burnt or vandalised during the 2020 unrest, leaving some areas without proper police presence.
Officials explained that the rebuilding project will be done in phases, starting with the most critical locations. The government also said the new stations will be stronger and better equipped to serve the public.
Lagos authorities noted that restoring these facilities is important for safety, community support, and improved policing. They assured residents that work will begin soon and will be carried out with transparency.
The government called on communities to support the process and work with security agencies to maintain peace.
