NAF destroys terrorist supply hub in precision strike in Southern tumbuns
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has carried out a successful air interdiction operation against terrorist logistics in Dabar Masara, a known militant enclave in the Southern Tumbuns, as part of ongoing efforts to disrupt insurgent activities in the region.
The operation, conducted on 14 December 2025, followed credible intelligence indicating the existence of a terrorist workshop and sustained movement of armed fighters in the area. Acting on the intelligence, the Air Component of Joint Task Force Operation HADIN KAI deployed an integrated force package that combined intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) missions with precision strike operations.
According to the NAF, prior ISR missions had revealed repeated terrorist movement and a concentration of vehicles concealed under thick vegetation, confirming the location as an active logistics hub. Further surveillance on the day of the operation validated these findings, with terrorists observed manoeuvring around the identified vehicles.
Following positive identification and in strict compliance with the Rules of Engagement, NAF aircraft engaged the targets. A post-strike Battle Damage Assessment confirmed the destruction of the vehicles and the neutralisation of terrorist elements at the location.
The Nigerian Air Force said the successful mission highlights its continued reliance on intelligence-driven and precise air operations to degrade terrorist networks and support broader national security objectives in conflict-affected areas.
The development was confirmed in a statement signed by Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information, Headquarters Nigerian Air Force, and dated 15 December 2025.
