In a statement by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu recognised Owoh’s significant influence on Nigeria’s entertainment industry, noting his status as one of the country’s most cherished figures.

“Today, we celebrate a true legend whose talent has brought joy to generations of Nigerians and people across Africa. Through roles like Osuofia, Mr Owoh has left an unforgettable mark on our cultural history. He has used laughter and creativity to reflect the energy and strength of our society,” the President said.
He continued, “His work has united communities through humour and storytelling. I wish him good health, happiness, and continued success in his creative journey.”
On behalf of the Nigerian government and its people, President Tinubu wished Nkem Owoh a joyful 70th birthday, adding, “May his inspiring spirit continue to motivate younger entertainers, especially those making waves on social media with their own creative content.”
