Kano 2027: Kwankwaso’s Son, Mustapha, named NDC Deputy Governorship candidate
The governorship candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Kano State, Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, has selected Hon. Mustapha Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso as his running mate ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
The announcement was made public on Monday by the spokesperson of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, Habeeb Saleh Mohammed, who confirmed the development in a brief statement.
“Hon. Mustapha Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has been unveiled as the running mate to HE Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo for the 2027 governorship election,” he stated.
Mustapha Kwankwaso, a politician and businessman, is the son of former Kano State Governor and Senator, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. His emergence adds a notable political dimension to the unfolding realignments ahead of the 2027 general elections in Kano State.
