Youth leaders across the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have congratulated Commandant Isa’ac David GCO, Comrade Yamawo Destiny S. and Dr Abubakar Sadiq on their emergence as leaders of various youth structures in the Territory.

In a congratulatory message issued on behalf of youth leaders across the FCT, the group expressed confidence that the new leadership would strengthen youth representation, unity and development across the Territory.

The leaders described Commandant Isa’ac David GCO, the FCT Youths Supreme Leader, as a youth advocate committed to issues affecting young people and urged him to promote inclusive representation and grassroots engagement.

They also congratulated Comrade Yamawo Destiny S., the FCT Youth Leader, on his emergence, saying his position provides an opportunity to strengthen platforms for young people to articulate their concerns and aspirations.

Similarly, the group congratulated Dr Abubakar Sadiq, Chairman of the FCT Youths Stakeholder Council Board, and urged him to use the position to promote collaboration among youth organisations and other stakeholders.

The youth leaders said the new leadership assumed office at a time when young people across the FCT were seeking greater opportunities in education, employment, entrepreneurship, skills development and participation in community affairs.

They urged the three leaders to prioritise unity, inclusiveness, accountability and regular engagement with young people at the grassroots.

The group also called for stronger cooperation among youth organisations, community leaders, government institutions and other stakeholders to create sustainable opportunities for young people across the Territory.

The youth leaders expressed optimism that the new leadership would promote constructive engagement and effective representation of youths in the FCT.

They wished the three leaders a successful tenure and pledged their support for initiatives aimed at promoting youth development, peaceful coexistence and inclusive participation across the Federal Capital Territory.
