Radda Presents Scorecard At Tinubu–Dikko Campaign Flag-Off
Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda on Wednesday presented his administration’s performance scorecard at the Tinubu–Dikko campaign flag-off in Funtua.
This is just as the All Progressives Congress intensifies mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Radda, who is also the APC leader in the state and coordinator of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s presidential campaign in Katsina, said the presentation highlights achievements recorded under his administration’s Building Your Future Agenda since assuming office.
According to a statement by Ibrahim Mohammed, Chief Press Secretary at the Government House in Katsina, the governor said the exercise enabled citizens to assess his administration’s performance.
That includes progress across key sectors, while providing an opportunity to communicate ongoing projects and future development priorities.
“We are not coming with mere promises; we are coming with a record of achievements for the people to assess,” Radda said, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to delivering democratic dividends.
He expressed confidence that the enthusiasm demonstrated by party members and supporters at the presidential campaign flag-off in Kaduna would be replicated in Katsina.
Radda commended ministers, lawmakers, APC leaders and other stakeholders from the state for their participation in the Kaduna event, urging them to sustain their commitment through unity, cooperation and effective grassroots mobilisation.
The Katsina campaign will cover the three senatorial zones of Funtua, Daura and Katsina, spanning all 34 local government areas and 361 wards.
The governor called on elected officials, political appointees, party executives, local government leaders, youth and women’s groups, persons with disabilities and other stakeholders to work together towards a successful campaign.
He stressed that direct engagement with communities would be central to communicating the administration’s achievements and plans.
Serving ministers, members of the National and State Assemblies, members of the Katsina State Executive Council, APC executives and other stakeholders attended the flag-off.
The campaign marks a major step in the party’s efforts to strengthen its grassroots presence ahead of the 2027 elections.
Katsina Invests N4bn In Youth Craft Village
Katsina State Government has invested over N4 billion in upgrading the Katsina Youth Craft Village just as Governor Dikko Radda graduated 1,662 trainees and provided them with start-up packs to establish businesses.
The governor spoke recently at the institution’s second graduation ceremony at Muhammadu Dikko Stadium, Katsina, according to a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Mohammed.
Governor Radda said the number of graduates increased by 156.79 per cent from 648 recorded at the maiden ceremony.
He said the investment covered renovation, modern equipment and tools to strengthen vocational training under his administration’s Building Your Future Agenda.
The governor said the graduates acquired skills in more than 15 trades, including tailoring, welding, carpentry, electrical installation, information technology, catering, plumbing and automobile repairs.
He urged beneficiaries to use their start-up packs to establish businesses and create employment opportunities, announcing plans to establish additional vocational training centres across the state’s 34 local government areas.
Radda also disclosed that the government aims to train and empower over 5,000 youths before the end of his tenure.
Former Governor Ibrahim Shema, who established the institution, commended the initiative, revealing that a former KYCV trainee had risen to become a head of department in the Federal Capital Territory Administration.
The Executive Secretary of the National Board for Technical Education, Professor Idris Bugaje, also praised Katsina’s commitment to technical and vocational education, urging other states to emulate its model.
