Liverpool’s Arne Slot Hit with Two-Match Touchline suspension
Liverpool manager Arne Slot has been handed a two-match touchline ban following his red card during the 2-2 Premier League draw against Everton at Goodison Park on 12th February.
Slot was dismissed for approaching referee Michael Oliver on the pitch after the match. As a result, he will miss Liverpool’s home game against Newcastle tonight, as well as the visit of Southampton on 8th March.
However, Slot will be allowed on the touchline for Liverpool’s Champions League last-16 first-leg tie against Paris Saint-Germain on 5th March.
In addition to the ban, Slot has been fined 70,000 pounds by an independent Football Association commission after accepting the charge.
Both Liverpool and Everton have also been fined for failing to control their players, with the clubs’ receiving fines of 65,000 and 50,000 Pounds respectively.
