Barcelona has postponed its match against Osasuna due to the sudden passing of the club’s first-team doctor, Carles Minarro Garcia.
The decision was made shortly before kickoff, with the team and fans expressing deep condolences to his family. The match will be rescheduled for a later
Miñarro García joined Barcelona in 2017 and had been working with the first team since last summer, after previously serving with the club’s futsal team.
In a statement, the club announced that the match would be rescheduled for a later date, offering their deepest condolences to Miñarro García’s family and friends during this difficult time.
The players learned of Miñarro García’s passing upon arriving at the Olympic Stadium for the match against Osasuna.
The team unanimously decided that postponing the game was the most respectful course of action, a request that La Liga approved.
