Security forces free kidnapped special adviser to NDDC Managing Director

The Nigerian Army’s 6 Division has successfully liberated Mr. Akari Eloghonan Loveday, Special Adviser on Domestic Affairs to the NDDC Managing Director, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku.
He was abducted on March 7, 2025, during a journey through the waterways near Ayakoro community in Bayelsa State’s Ogbia Local Government Area.”
Acting on credible intelligence, troops of 6 division Nigerian army swiftly moved into the creeks , waterways and rivulets in severe comprehensive search and combed all the nooks and crannies of the forest
The operational feat according to the spokesman of the 6 division Nigerian army, lieutenant colonel Danjuma Jonah was achieved through a painstaking operations conducted by the troops of 16 brigade, of the Nigerian army in synergy with the Nigerian Navy ship NNS SOROH , the Department of the state service DSS and the police.
During the operations the security Agencies blocked every exit point forcing the kidnappers to abandon their victim and fled into the forest.
Mr Akari Loveday has since been reunited with his family, MD, NDDC Dr Samuel Ogbuku, leaders of Ayakoro community and well wishers even as troops continue man hunt for e men of the underworld.
The general officer commanding 6 division Nigerian army, major general Eric Emekah commended the troops for a successful rescue mission and charged them to hunt down the fleeing kidnappers to free the waterways of criminal elements.
