President Tinubu Mourns with Former Speaker Bankole Over Mother’s Death
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Dimeji Bankole, and his family following the death of his mother, Alhaja Monsurat Atinuke Bankole, aged 78.
Alhaja Monsurat Bankole, who served as the Iya Adinni of Egbaland, passed away on Thursday after a brief illness.
President Tinubu joins the Bankole family and the Ogun State community in mourning the loss of a woman renowned for her unwavering commitment to community development, driven by her strong Islamic faith.
In his tribute, the President acknowledged Mama Bankole’s enduring legacy, reflected in the countless lives she positively impacted through her compassion, generosity, and humility.
He prayed for the peaceful repose of her soul and sought Almighty Allah’s comfort for all those grieving her loss.
