Insecurity: Gov. Alia, Ortom, Suswam, other Benue Leaders meets Tor Monarch
The Paramount Ruler of the Tiv Nation, His Royal Majesty James Ayatse, the Tor Tiv V, has convened an important meeting with key Tiv sons and daughters to address pressing issues in the region.
The gathering, which is taking place at the Tor Tiv Palace in Gboko Local Government Area of Benue State, has attracted top figures from across the Tiv-speaking areas, including Benue North-East and North-West districts.
Among those present is the current Governor of Benue State, Hyacinth Alia. Also in attendance are former governors Samuel Ortom and Gabriel Suswam, former Attorney General Michael Aondoakaa, senators, House of Representatives members, and several other notable Tiv leaders.
The meeting, organized by the Tiv Area Traditional Council, is focused on finding solutions to the rising insecurity in Tivland. All traditional rulers from the region are part of the high-level discussions.
A major point of concern is the tense relationship among political leaders, and the need for a collective Tiv agenda that rises above party differences and individual interests.
