Slot to rotate squad after Liverpool’s Title victory
Following Liverpool’s record-equalling 20th Premier League title triumph last weekend, manager Arne Slot has outlined plans to utilise the club’s remaining four fixtures as a chance to assess fringe players ahead of next season.
With a comfortable 15-point lead over second-placed Arsenal, Liverpool will take on Chelsea on Sunday in a match that is crucial for the London club’s Champions League ambitions.
Speaking to reporters on Friday, Slot described the upcoming fixtures against Chelsea, Arsenal, Brighton, and Crystal Palace as vital tests.
He explained that these matches would serve as important preparation for the next campaign, with the coaching staff intending to rotate the squad and offer playing time to less-frequently used players eager to make an impact.
