Education Minister Alausa thanks Tinubu for National Honour, pledges commitment to Education reform
Nigeria’s Minister of Education, Dr. Olatunji Alausa, has expressed deep appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for bestowing upon him the prestigious national honour of Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON).
In a statement, Dr. Alausa described the honour as a clear demonstration of the President’s trust in the ministry’s ongoing efforts to transform the nation’s education sector. He noted that the recognition also reflects the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which prioritizes education, youth empowerment, and digital inclusion as key pillars for national growth.
Dr. Alausa commended President Tinubu’s visionary leadership, especially his administration’s bold investments in initiatives like the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) and Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET). He noted that these projects are crucial to equipping Nigerian youth with skills that make them not just job-ready but also future-ready in a fast-changing world.
He further applauded the government’s ambitious fibre optic broadband project, describing it as a game-changer for digital learning, one that will bridge the connectivity gap in education and better prepare the country’s youth for global opportunities.
Reaffirming his dedication to the task ahead, Dr. Alausa pledged to continue working toward reforms that improve learning outcomes, foster innovation, and guarantee inclusive, quality education for every Nigerian child.
