Alleged fake PFIPC DG Adeniyi Adeyemi arrested after Court issues bench warrant
The self-acclaimed Director-General of the alleged non-existent Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), Adeniyi Adeyemi, has been arrested.
According to TVC News, Adeyemi was apprehended shortly after Justice Mohammed Umar of the Federal High Court in Abuja issued a bench warrant for his arrest on Tuesday.
Adeyemi was scheduled to take his plea on an eight-count charge marked FHC/ABJ/CR/562/2025, bordering on alleged forgery, fraud and impersonation.
Although the case was listed as No. 12 on the court’s cause list, the defendant failed to appear for his arraignment, despite his lawyer, Genesis Francis, announcing his appearance before the court on his behalf.
Following his absence, the prosecution applied for a bench warrant, which the court granted, leading to Adeyemi’s arrest shortly afterwards.
