Drama as 2Baba, Wife Natasha clash during viral Instagram live session
Afrobeats star Innocent Idibia, better known as 2Baba, and his wife, Natasha Osawaru, were on Monday thrust into the spotlight after a tense off-camera confrontation erupted during an Instagram Live session hosted by media personality Daddy Freeze.
The livestream featured two of 2Baba’s former management associates, Kaka Igbokwe and Lori Tosan, who accused Natasha of exerting excessive control over the singer’s life and career. They also alleged that the lawmaker had displayed violent outbursts in the past, referencing supposed incidents involving the couple, including an alleged domestic disturbance in the United Kingdom.
As the claims mounted, 2Baba unexpectedly joined the broadcast, sternly instructing his former managers to stop discussing his private life. Moments later, raised voices believed to be those of the singer and Osawaru could be heard in the background before the livestream abruptly ended.
The incident has intensified public scrutiny of the couple’s relationship, which entered the public domain earlier this year after 2Baba announced his separation from actress Annie Idibia in January. He proposed to Osawaru in February, and the pair were married in July.
This latest controversy adds to previous claims that the singer was briefly detained in the UK in October following an alleged altercation with Natasha during his tour. Although 2Baba denied the incident, attributing his absence from a scheduled show to a medical emergency, the accusations resurfaced following Monday’s disrupted livestream.
