Foreign Affairs Minister hails Nigerians on 65th Independence, reaffirms commitment to Renewed Hope Agenda

Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, has congratulated Nigerians at home and abroad as the country marks its 65th Independence Anniversary.
In his Independence Day message, Ambassador Tuggar said the milestone reflects the courage, resilience, and unity of Nigerians in overcoming challenges and seizing opportunities for progress.
He noted that Nigeria has continued to strengthen democracy, foster economic growth, and consolidate its leadership within Africa and the global community.
The Minister explained that Nigeria’s foreign policy, anchored on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and guided by the four Ds, Democracy, Development, Demography, and Diaspora, remains central to building a secure, prosperous, and respected nation.
Ambassador Tuggar urged Nigerians everywhere to uphold patriotism, service, and unity, while also calling on citizens in the Diaspora to continue to be good ambassadors and contribute to national development.
He assured that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will keep projecting Nigeria’s interests and image positively across the world.
