FCT Poll: INEC Posts Chairmanship results Live on IReV portal
INEC has begun uploading results from the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Area Council chairmanship elections onto its Result Viewing (IReV) portal, promoting transparency after Saturday’s polls.
The elections contested 68 positions in total, including six chairmanship seats—one per council—and 62 councillorship roles across various wards.
Our correspondent’s monitoring at 7:35 pm revealed strong progress in Abuja Municipal Area Council, with 847 out of 1,401 polling unit results uploaded.
Other areas trailed: Kwali at 75 of 201, Kuje with 115 of 262, and Gwagwalada showing 204 out of 338.
From Abaji, Bwari, Kuje, Gwagwalada and Kwali, the results are still trickling in.
The area council polls were conducted on Saturday, February 21, and the final results’ collation is expected in few hours from now.
