Full CHAN 2024 line-up confirmed ahead of August Tournament
The complete roster of teams set to participate in the eighth edition of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) has been officially confirmed, with the tournament scheduled to take place from 2 to 30 August 2025.
Algeria and South Africa have secured the final two qualification spots and will compete alongside joint hosts Uganda, Niger, and Guinea in Group C.
Nigeria, who were silver medallists in the 2018 edition, have been drawn into Group D. They will face Senegal, Equatorial Guinea, and Sudan. Initially, Congo Brazzaville was part of this group but was disqualified following a successful protest by Equatorial Guinea.
In Group A, joint hosts Kenya will come up against the 2018 champions Morocco, along with Angola, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Zambia. The tournament opener will see a clash between Kenya and Morocco.
Group B will be led by another joint host, Tanzania, who will compete against Madagascar, Mauritania, Burkina Faso, and the Central African Republic.
