Rather than taking his place on the United bench, Garnacho chose to leave the pitch immediately, walking straight down the tunnel.

Speaking at a news conference on Friday, United manager Ruben Amorim confirmed he had addressed the situation with Garnacho and understands the reason behind his actions. As a result, the winger will fund a night out for his teammates as a gesture of goodwill.

Manchester United will face Fulham in the fifth round of the English FA Cup this Sunday. Although Amorim mentioned that Garnacho has a knock, he is expected to be fit for the upcoming tie.
