INEC presents Certificates of Return to Kano Assembly Members-Elect

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has presented Certificates of Return to two newly elected members of the Kano State House of Assembly following the by-elections held on August 16.
The presentation took place on Friday at the INEC headquarters in Kano, where the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Abdu Zango, handed the certificates to the winners.
Those who received the certificates are Mr. Garba Ya’u Gwarmai of the All Progressives Congress (APC), elected to represent Ghari/Tsanyawa Constituency, and Mr. Ali Hassan Shanono of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), elected to represent Shanono/Bagwai Constituency.
In their separate remarks, both lawmakers expressed gratitude to INEC for ensuring credible polls and commended the electorate for entrusting them with the mandate to serve. They pledged to prioritise healthcare, education, security, and access to potable water in their constituencies.
