JUST-IN: Petrol Tanker overturns, catches fire in Lagos
A petroleum tanker conveying Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) overturned and burst into flames late Wednesday night, February 11, at the Ikeja Along area of Lagos State.
The Nation gathered that the petrol-laden tanker lost control and spilled its contents across the road, triggering a fire outbreak that sent thick smoke into the sky and caused panic among motorists and residents.
Officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) and other emergency responders were swiftly deployed to the scene to manage traffic and contain the blaze.
As of the time of filing this report, the extent of damage and possible casualties could not be immediately confirmed.
