Katsina Governor in auto crash, escape unhurt
Governor Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina State has been discharged after surviving a minor car accident on Sunday evening along the Daura–Katsina road.
The incident was confirmed by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, who assured the public that the governor is in good health and high spirits. The report was also corroborated by Bashir Ahmed, former media aide to late President Muhammadu Buhari, who cited the Katsina Local Government Area chairman.
Shortly after the accident, Governor Radda addressed the public in a brief live video from his residence, expressing gratitude for the outpouring of concern and prayers.
“Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim. Dear brothers and sisters of Katsina State and beyond, we are deeply grateful for all your prayers and concern. By the will of Allah, we were tested with a car accident—but Alhamdulillah, we came out safe and unharmed,” he said.
Although the governor was briefly placed under medical observation as a precaution, he has since returned to his regular duties.
