Femi Aina has been re-elected as chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Ogun State, with a pledge to intensify grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking after his victory at the state congress, Aina thanked delegates for the renewed confidence in his leadership. He said his second term would focus on expanding the party’s structures across the 20 local government areas and strengthening its presence at ward level.

Aina also promised to unite members, attract new supporters and position the NNPP as a stronger political force in the state. He noted that the party would prioritise youth involvement, political education and community outreach as part of its 2027 strategy.

Party leaders and delegates at the congress described his re-election as a major step toward stability and growth for the NNPP in Ogun State. They expressed optimism that Aina’s continued leadership would help the party mount a more competitive challenge in the next election cycle.
