Ondo Trader arrested for allegedly killing Sister over ₦800 debt

Tragedy struck in Akure, Ondo State capital, as a middle-aged trader, Bosede Iluyemi, allegedly killed her elder sister, Omowumi Tewogboye, during a dispute over an ₦800 debt.
According to reports, the quarrel began after Bosede demanded payment for tomatoes and pepper Omowumi had bought on credit. The argument turned violent when Bosede allegedly grabbed her sister’s clothes, causing Omowumi to fall and sustain severe injuries.
She was rushed to a nearby hospital but was confirmed dead on arrival.
Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the Ondo State Police Command, DSP Olusola Ayanlade, said Bosede has been arrested and the case is under investigation. He assured that justice will be served.
