Tobi Amusan storms into 100m Hurdles Final at World Championships with dominant Semifinal win
Nigeria’s sprint sensation Tobi Amusan powered her way into the women’s 100m hurdles final at the Tokyo 2025 World Athletics Championships on Friday, delivering a superb semifinal performance.
The world record holder clocked 12.36 seconds (-0.2) to secure victory ahead of the Netherlands’ Nadine Visser, who finished in 12.45s, while Poland’s Pia Skrzyszowska placed third in 12.51s to also advance.
Amusan’s commanding run reinforced her status as one of the top contenders for gold, as she executed her strides with precision and composure, fending off late pressure from Visser to cross the line strongly.
The 27-year-old’s display has set the stage for a thrilling final, where she will be looking to reclaim her world title and further cement her dominance on the global athletics stage.
