18 Players hit Super Eagles camp in Morocco ahead of World Cup Qualifier against Gabon
Eighteen players have reported to the Super Eagles camp in Rabat, Morocco, ahead of Nigeria’s crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Gabon, slated for Thursday evening.
The camp officially opened on Sunday, with full training sessions commencing on Monday under the supervision of head coach Eric Chelle.
Team captain William Troost-Ekong led the early arrivals alongside Calvin Bassey and Benjamin Fredrick. Other players already in camp include Wilfred Ndidi, Stanley Nwabali, Tolu Arokodare, Alex Iwobi, Chidozie Awaziem, Chidera Ejuke, Olakunle Olusegun, Samuel Chukwueze, and Moses Simon.
According to team officials, three more players are still being expected before Thursday’s showdown with Gabon, as the squad intensifies tactical drills and fitness sessions in preparation for the must-win encounter.
