Tinubu reinstates NTA DG, Others, cancels recent appointments
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has ordered the reinstatement of Mr. Salihu Abdullahi Dembos as Director-General of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) after he briefly vacated the role following management changes within the agency.
Dembos, appointed by Tinubu in October 2023, will now resume his position to complete his three-year tenure.
Similarly, the President recalled Mr. Ayo Adewuyi, the Executive Director of News, to continue his tenure, which runs until 2027. Adewuyi was appointed in 2024.
This directive nullifies recent appointments of a new director-general, executive director of news, executive director of marketing, and managing director of NTA Enterprises.
The announcement was made in a statement on Tuesday by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.
