The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has approved the posting of the Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), DCP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, as Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the Department of Operations, Delta State Command.

A statement released on Wednesday by Force Headquarters, Abuja, said the decision reflects the confidence of the police leadership in Adejobi’s expertise, professionalism, and ability to strengthen operational strategies at the state level.

The IGP commended Adejobi’s tenure as the national police spokesperson, acknowledging his dedication and contribution to reshaping the image and communication approach of the Nigeria Police Force.

“DCP Adejobi has distinguished himself in service as Force Public Relations Officer. We are confident he will bring the same dedication and excellence to his new assignment in Delta State,” Egbetokun stated.

According to the Force Headquarters, arrangements are underway to announce Adejobi’s successor, who will take over the management of the institution’s public communication.

DCP Adejobi, a seasoned police officer and media strategist, has served in various operational and communication roles throughout his career.

His redeployment is seen as another major step in a policing career that spans decades.
