Governors urge peace, tolerance as Nigerians celebrate Eid-ul-Mawlid

As Nigerians join Muslims worldwide to celebrate Eid-ul-Mawlid, commemorating the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), state governors have called on citizens to embrace sacrifice, love, and compassion.
Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary Humwashi Wonosikou, congratulated Muslims and encouraged them to embody the Prophet’s virtues of peace, humility, and selflessness. He urged residents to support his administration’s vision and pray for peace and unity across Nigeria.
Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo described the celebration as an opportunity to reflect on the Prophet’s teachings of kindness and harmony. He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to inclusivity and peaceful coexistence, while extending prayers for a prosperous Nigeria.
Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru, in a statement by his spokesman Monday Uzor, called Eid-ul-Mawlid a time for renewal of faith and unity. He urged humility, charity, and brotherhood during the celebration and commended Muslims in the state for peaceful coexistence.
The governors reiterated their commitment to policies that foster development and harmony while encouraging citizens to emulate Prophet Muhammad’s example in building a stronger Nigeria.
