Arsenal starlet cleared after red card controversy

Arsenal’s Myles Lewis-Skelly has successfully overturned the three-match suspension he received after being sent off in Saturday’s fixture against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The club’s appeal was upheld by an independent regulatory commission, which ruled that the 18-year-old’s red card was unjustified. The Football Association has since confirmed the decision.

Lewis-Skelly was dismissed following a challenge on Matt Doherty, with referee Michael Oliver deeming it serious foul play.

The incident occurred in the 43rd minute as Doherty prepared to initiate a counter-attack just outside Wolverhampton’s penalty area. The original decision had been upheld by video assistant referee Darren England before Arsenal’s successful appeal.
