At just 18 years old, Mohammed Aminu Sani has achieved what many only dream of becoming Nigeria’s youngest licensed commercial pilot.

Mohammed, who hails from Kano State, completed his flight training at Skyline Aviation School in South Africa, earning his commercial pilot license after months of rigorous study and practice.

Speaking with excitement, the young aviator said flying has been his greatest passion since childhood. “I used to watch planes take off and tell myself, one day that will be me. Now, it’s a dream come true,” he said.

His parents described his success as a moment of pride and inspiration, thanking God and encouraging other young Nigerians to pursue their dreams fearlessly.

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) congratulated Mohammed for his record-breaking achievement, noting that his story is proof that age should never be a barrier to excellence.

Aviation experts have also praised the teenager’s feat, saying it highlights the growing interest of young Nigerians in professional and technical careers that can strengthen the nation’s future.

Now a certified pilot, Mohammed says his next goal is to join a major airline and someday fly international routes. “This is just the beginning,” he said with a smile.
